ABOUT THE ARTIST
|
Art
has always been a
companion to Scott.
Early on, embraced it
with the enthusiasm of a
youth with a newly
discovered soul mate.
For several years of
Scott’s adulthood, art
was relegated to a
lesser role in life,
much like childhood
friends and interests
that get left behind or
forgotten as we grow up.
However, Art was never
truly left behind or
forgotten. It was always
there in the background,
waiting to be realized
on how much it was
missed. |
|
After
years of military
service, Scott went back
to college.. As he
walked by the Art
department each day, the
yearning to return to
Art became stronger and
more insistent. I
changed my field of
study and decided to
devote my time and
energy to painting. |
|
Scott
work mainly in oils, as
they provide him with
the greatest flexibility
and the variety of
textures that he enjoys
utilizing. He is drawn
to interesting lighting
scenarios and the
shadows cast in the
early morning and late
afternoon. |
